GCash owner Mynt rises in debut after record US$967 million Philippine IPO

Mynt, the operator of Philippine mobile wallet GCash, rose 1.7% in its market debut on October 20 after raising 60.9 billion pesos (about US$967 million), the largest IPO on record in the Philippines. Backed by Globe Telecom, Ant Group and Ayala Corp, the company drew more than 20 cornerstone investors, including BlackRock, Citadel and Fidelity International. GCash had 41.5 million monthly active users in the second quarter, close to 56% of the country’s adults.

Why it matters: Southeast Asia had no fintech IPOs in the first nine months of 2026, so a profitable wallet listing at this scale gives investors a public benchmark for the region’s payments players. It arrives the same day Reuters reported that Sea plans to list its own financial services arm, Monee.
