GoTo fintech earnings passed those of the group’s ride-hailing and delivery business in the third quarter of 2026, as the Indonesian company reported a net profit of Rp441 billion (about US$26 million), its third profitable quarter in a row. Adjusted EBITDA for the financial technology segment rose 304% from a year earlier to Rp550 billion, against Rp347 billion for on-demand services.

Fintech net revenue rose 49% to Rp2.3 trillion. Monthly transacting users grew 26% to 30.4 million and transactions grew 86% to 2.8 billion. The consumer loan book reached Rp12 trillion at the end of September, up 51% from a year earlier. On the earnings call, management said it had tightened credit for its highest-risk borrowers in the second quarter and saw only a limited deterioration in credit quality in the third. Group figures for the quarter:

  • Net revenue up 17% to Rp5.6 trillion
  • Adjusted EBITDA up 84% to Rp950 billion
  • Full-year adjusted EBITDA guidance raised to Rp3.5 trillion to Rp3.7 trillion, from Rp3.2 trillion to Rp3.4 trillion
  • Fintech guidance raised to Rp1.9 trillion to Rp2.0 trillion, from Rp1.7 trillion to Rp1.8 trillion

On-demand adjusted EBITDA rose 3%. According to TNGlobal, GoTo estimated that an 8% cap on ride-hailing commissions, in force from July 1, cut about Rp150 billion from the quarter’s adjusted EBITDA, and the company expects the cap to keep weighing on results.

Why it matters: A regulator set the commission GoTo can take from drivers, and in the same quarter its payments and lending arm became the larger earner. That moves the group’s main risk toward consumer credit. A loan book growing 51% a year is where investors will look first if Indonesian borrowers start to miss repayments, and management spent part of the call on the credit tightening it made in the second quarter for that reason.
